Jack Black and Ben Harper!

Jack Black and Ben Harper are playing together tonight on Jay Leno! Hurry, turn the channel!

Movin' Like Crazy

We've been working on our basement, AKA, band room.
For those who have ever moved into a new place, you have experienced "clutter."
There just isn't a home for everything yet. You move things over there to use this space, move things back over here to use that space.

I started my job as a church music director last month, so I've also added huge boxes of song books and one-sheets to our personal clutter and band equipment.

Moving. For the record...today is the day it's starting to drive me crazy.

Deadline

Why is the word "dead" in deadline? Thanks for the vote of confidence, You. You, the guy who made up the word "deadline."

November 7th is looming.

Well, guess what, you? We may have found ourselves a bass player! :) We'll show you.

What a Thriller!

A shout out to Wick's End's first follower, Sparklesinheaven! Having a follower? Man! You can't Beat It!
So, I don't know if you get this a lot, Sparkles...but I'm gonna go ahead and say it. You are a dead ringer for Michael Jackson.

Sorry. I'm Bad. Well, at least that was... Human Nature.

Thank you so much for following our blog! Read on, my friend, and Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough!

Bass player

Bass player. Bass player. Lord? We need a bass player.

Actually, a couple other players, too, if it's not too much to ask. Just a mandolin, fiddle, violin, cello, banjo, harmonica, electric guitar, piano, and kazoo player. You know what, don't even worry about the kazoo player. Don't worry about it.

Mostly though, we need a bass player.

Josh's tears

Josh just read the post I wrote about him. He's crying in the corner we gave him because I said that conversations with him are lonely. Just to clarify - I meant that in the NICEST POSSIBLE WAY.

Josh, enter stage left

Josh is our guitar player. Crazy kid moved here from Portland last night. Thank the Lord, for a couple weeks, we get to use his couch! He's sleeping in our RV until he finds an apartment. We newlyweds can't have house guests EVERY night, right? We let him come in to eat and use the bathroom.

Josh is the guy in the band who sends people's cares rolling off their shoulders. Just watch him for a minute or two, guarantee - you won't care. He leaves people speechless with his wit more than anyone I've ever met. A conversation with him is lonely in the most delightful way. He serves stunner after stunner. Eventually you just have to choose to walk away.
Three weeks til studio time. Monday night football is over (go Vikings)...so, time to go to work.
